Who
we are

We built the thing
we couldn’t find.
Pinard was born from a shared belief between a mother and daughter — both early childhood educators with over a decade of experience on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, both deeply committed to this work: that children deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach. We wanted a space that took little ones seriously as learners while honoring exactly where they are developmentally. Warm enough to feel like home, intentional enough to make a real difference. So we built it.

LIZ
Co-Founder
& Executive Director
Liz’s professional life has always revolved around children. From hands-on classroom experience starting with 2s programs on the Upper East Side to years teaching kindergarten and first grade, she has a unique perspective on how children learn and what they actually need at each stage, long before they walk into a formal school setting. A Master’s in Learning, Cognition, and Development gave her the research foundation to match the instincts she’d built in the classroom.
Everything Liz does at Pinard is rooted in child development, and specifically in the belief that social and emotional learning isn’t separate from academic growth.
It’s the foundation of it. As a mom of two young kids herself, she brings both professional expertise and the kind of personal understanding that only comes from living this stage alongside the families she works with. You can also find her sharing resources and honest parenting insights at @parenting.underdevelopment.

ANIE
Co-Founder
& Director of Operations
Anie has spent her entire career doing one thing: showing up for children.
With a degree in Teaching and a post-graduate specialization in Early Childhood, she has been an early childhood educator in Manhattan for over 17 years, with more than 30 years of experience across toddlers and elementary schoolers. The number of children whose lives she has touched is genuinely uncountable.
Anie sees every child as a precious individual. Her approach is rooted in deep observation, constant communication, and a creative, art-forward sensibility that brings foundational skills to life through play, projects, and shared experience. At Pinard, she leads operations bringing the kind of calm, steady presence that children gravitate toward and parents immediately trust.

TOGETHER
we bring decades of experience, a shared
philosophy, and a deep love for this work.
We are so glad you found us.
